Pau Blanes
Senior iOS Engineer
Over my iOS career, I've built apps for agencies and startups across industries as varied as fintech, e-commerce, travel, health & fitness and education. I bring a product mindset and a strong focus on quality and simplicity, adapting to the architectures, languages or frameworks each project needs. Always seeking new challenges and learning opportunities!
Apps
I've had the opportunity to work on these amazing apps.
Vocabulary
Vocabulary helps you expand your word power in just a few minutes a day, learning new words as you scroll through short, focused cards.
You can pick your difficulty level and choose the categories that matter to you, building a vocabulary that fits your goals at your own pace.
I am - Daily Affirmations
I am helps you build better daily habits of mind through short, powerful affirmations you can set as reminders throughout the day.
Choose the intentions that matter to you and let small, repeated moments of positivity reshape how you think about yourself.
Motivation
Motivation delivers a steady stream of quotes and positive reminders, from motivation and self-esteem to gratitude and mindfulness, right on your lock and home screen.
Save your favorites, customize the widget design, and share the message of the day with friends or on social media.
Bible Widgets
Bible Widgets brings Scripture to your home and lock screen with beautifully themed widgets, turning every glance at your phone into a small moment of reflection.
Browse thousands of verses and prayers organized by category, save your favorites into collections, and set daily reminders that fit your routine.
FreeNow
FREENOW is a ride-hailing and multi-mobility app operating in 9 European countries. You are in control to choose how you roll, book easily, pay in-app quickly and complete your trip safely!
I was part of the iOS team of this app, working in a small cross-functional team that handled vehicle discovery. This covered everything related to finding vehicles and information on the map, and the user journey up until reservation.
Fintonic
With Fintonic it is easier to get loans, save, and improve your finances. More than 1 million people have already done it!
This project was a good learning opportunity because I had to handle the release cycle (TestFlight and App Store), also the project combined UIKit and SwiftUI, which was really interesting too. Another cool development was using VisionKit to allow customers to scan their credit card, in an attempt to increase card recharge conversion.

Simple Investment Tracker
Forget about ugly Excels! Track all your investments in a simple and beautiful way. Create, edit, and view your portfolios in an easy way.
As a big advocate of the learn by doing philosophy, I made this project to practice or learn skills in several areas related to iOS development, such as using Combine to build a reactive layer around CoreData, publishing to the App Store or working with CleanArchitecture.

Wabi2b
An Amazon for stores. In Wabi2b you will find the prices on different categories of the products for your business, and get access to the product portfolio of the different wholesalers.
I had the pleasure to be part of the iOS team for this cutting-edge app. It was written 100% in SwiftUI using Clean Architecture and Combine. Also the features where broken into diferent packages to avoid conflicts and improve build time.
ImaginTeens
ImaginTeens is a finance app with which you will be able to control your funds from your phone, receive your pocket money, ask for cash to your dad or mum and have your own credit card to buy when and where you want.
The interesting part about this project was that I joined to quickly add a new feature, so I had to familiarize with a new codebase and architecture and deliver fast.
Imagin
Join as an imaginer to enjoy top discounts or to split expenses with your friends. Upgrade to imaginer Reload and request your prepaid card. Become imaginer Infinity and get a current account, cards without fees or conditions and much more.
This was my first iOS project. I had to deal with the complexities of an ObjectiveC + Swift app. I also refactored legacy code in a transition from ObjectiveC and MVC to Swift and MVVM and I reviewed client requirements, wireframes, and designs for technical feasibility.
